Headgear
Head wear measurement is the circumference of the crown, measured around the skull, about one centimeter above the ears. Make sure to measure accurately - keep the measure tape tight. Generally, you'll want a hat that is not too small - 1 cm wont make much difference though. Some headgear (especially berets) will loosen and "grown in size" when used. This can be accounted for by ordering one size smaller.

Cool cap, but the size was way off: I normally wear a 55 or 56 and this 56 was extremally loose.

The surprise was how the size 57 fit on my head without any difficulties and my head size is 58. Yes, the size of the caps made in Finland are exactly as stated, but fortunately this was a larger model. The cap has a short cap and reminds me more of the one used during the war, this one just happens to have a short hard cap that was soft in the wartime model. A good and profitable purchase and the price is not high either, especially if these are part of your hobby.

Got a hat in great condition! got sent a 56 that fits quite loosely (even though I usually carry a 58) i think sizes are different in Finland. Highly recommend also buying the winter version!

Don't know if it needs to set, but it was too small for me. My head is size 57, I tested these sort of caps numerous times in the past, 57 is perfect, but this one was too small for me. It's too tight. Yes I checked the size on it, its a 57. Buy 1 size bigger than usuall.
