The T-shirt is made of Ring-Spun cotton. The Ring-Spun cotton process is slightly different, starting with the same cotton fibre yarns, which are continuously twisted and thinned, resulting in a very fine rope of cotton fibres. The twisting makes the short cotton yarns stand out, resulting in a much stronger yarn with a significantly softer feel. The longer the fibres are spun, the stronger and softer the yarn becomes. A regular 200 gsm cotton T-shirt may be heavier than a 165 gsm Ring-Spun cotton T-shirt, but the ring-spun cotton T-shirt can be more durable and certainly much softer.
